To get the best view of Mars, borrow someone else's telescope. :-)

I've got a big list of groups set up with telescopes for the opposition so you can check it out.

If you want some photos of Mars, check out the photo gallery of Mars. You can buy any picture from 4x6 up to 20x30. They look great.
