Image is a combination of 15 frames of each red, green, and blue, 3 seconds each. The images were taken October 18 in below freezing weather with frost on the C-14's corrector plate. This image and larger ones will soon be avialable on my website.

That's nice! The image looks a lot better.

But then there's the next step... color balance. That's a nightmare. You have to figure out how much light each filter passes, and then use that to balance each image before you add them together. I spent a long time on that with Hubble, and never quite got it right. The folks at Space Teelscope Science Institute have it down literally to an art now. Er.. the "Space Teelscope Institute" doesn't seem to have a valid url. Maybe it's because you misspelled the name?

Reply to his post with quoted text and you can see that he added an extra http;// in front of the address.

Aha. I didn't think of the quote thing. The link sends you to http:\, so I thought he just forgot to paste it.

That, and "Teelscopes". What's next, "Fuchsiascopes"?

But that is a nice site.

You might want to PM him or contact him via his website, Mongo hasn't posted on the board in over a year.
