Depends on which sort of expansion you mean. There are two models as far as i'm aware, the model of constant expansion (an ever increasing universe), or the model of expansion up until a point where the gravitational pull of the universe = expansion rate i.e. static universe. Then there's the big bang/big crunch, where the universe implodes on itself after a period of prolonged expansion.
i guess only time will tell... got a few million years???? I'll put the kettle on!!!! |

I dont think its settled yet, I mean we dont even know dark energy and dark matter, we dont even know if they exist or not we only know of some of the effect it has on space....how can we let these dark mysteries predict the fate of the universe
