Here's a CNN story about a new paper that claims to have worked out some specifics about the structure of Eros, and a change in the way that cratering studies can be used (with asteroids) to determine the ages of surfaces.

On reading this I didn't think it was new News, but the CNN story says that there is some aspect of this study which demonstrates that something that had previously been questioned is in fact correct.
The short version is that Eros has several meters of loose material on its surface, but has one large rock (or mabe two) making up the bulk of its core.
