Thumbs up First Moon

I've owned a telescope for some time now, but for one reason or another I've never used it to observe the moon. Today I did. It was only for a few minutes, it was already setting behind a building, and I had to show the whole family, of course, but it was still a great show.
I loved actually being able to see some of the larger craters, like Posidonius ( I had to turn my moon map over a couple of times before I found out what it's name was, mind you ) and being able to tell my folks "That's Mare Crisium, you know..." and stuff like that.
Just thought that it would be nice to tell you guys and gals about it

BTW, I am a lurker, but I'll try and use this as the first step in quitting
