Just a timely reminder of the annular eclipse of the Sun which takes place tomorrow morning.
Fred Espenak's Site The eclipse will be partial or annular over most of Africa, Europe, India and the Middle East. If the weather co-operates it will be my third partial eclipse... ![]()

I saw it when it was near it's max here (60% covered or so). Very neat! Perfect skies, only some chem contrails ;-), I wish it had been like this with the complete eclips of 1999 (rather cloudy then).

View from my front door ~10.00 am BST. Very cloudy and lucky to get anything at all.

Denia was under the totality 'flight path', but was under cloud at the critical moment. Managed a few shots before and after totality using 8in Newtonian at f10 and 32mm EP.(31X) after giving up on the original site where we had been since 09:00, and chasing the sun to catch the event at 11:04.
Sony V3,1/640@f2.8 iso200. Baader solar filter. We are now back to wall to wall sunshine! Best regards to all Brian H. Last edited by foobird; 04-October-2005 at 05:28 PM.. Reason: attachment missing |
