Default Apophis

I have no doubt that we've discussed this before, but here's an article from the UK's Guardian newspaper on Apophis and the threat it poses. Can people with a bit more knowledge on the subject point out the correct bits and any flaws in the article for me please?

I note that the "astroid" that the illustrator have created have a very visable and firey tail.... And it is still outside the atmosphere...
