Default Best Location for a Moon Base?

Where do you feel would be the best place for a base on the Moon?

There's a lot of talk of sticking one at the south pole in the expectation that there's water there.

Its likely somewhere in the middle, or in a location where a lot of the suns light is exposed, like with the mars rovers.

but my proposition is for mostly energy purposses
