Default Meteor Activity

Hum,
Today, the Earth passed five million miles from the orbit path of comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3.
There was an unlikely possibility that the trailing dust streams could cause meteor showers; And it seems that a splinter stream indeed got knocked towards us, causing very high meteor activity (peaking about 5 hours ago); But it is back to normal now.

I had a quick look last night (before dawn) just in case....nothing.
But it is still worth looking out for meteors tonight.

What is considered very high?

I was listening to the audiofeed from roswell and didn't pick up anything unusual, but that was 3 hours later than the event you mention, it must have been short lived.

Hum
it seem that there was an excess of 275 radio triggers recorded in a one hour period.
How accurate that figure is, as relating to actual meteorites, i don't know.

What constellation would the radiant be in? I was just outside, 11 PM Central, and despite a nearly 1st qt. moon, observed a bright green meteor coming out of the Big Dipper.
