From UFOs to Astronomy Education
There's a nice tidbit in the latest newsletter from the Gemini Observatory (which should be linked here when the online version is posted). On page 55, Antonieta Garcia described a new center for astronomy education near La Serena, Chile. This region hosts the Cerro Tololo, La Silla, and Las Campanas observatories. The new center, known as CADIS, occupies a one-time schoolhouse formerly used as a center for UFO enthusiasts!
