Default Glowing Hot Transiting Exoplanet Discovered

Astronomers at the ESO have found a transiting epistellar Jovian (a "hot Jupiter") that has the shortest period of any extrasolar planet ever found- 28.5 hours for a complete revolution. It transits its parent star and so astronomers can determine its mass fairly well- a bit larger than Jupiter.
I think the transit method, as evidenced here, holds the greatest potential value for discovering planets around other starts before we get larger interferometers, and this is evidence of this fact in action.

Go here for the story.
