SW Ursae Majoris in outburst
The SU UMa-type cataclysmic variable SW UMa is in outburst.
The last time the star was in outburst, in October 2002, it reached visual magnitude 10.5 and was brighter than 13.5 for 17 days. The normal minimum magnitude is about 16. Position(2000): R.A. 08:36:42.74 Dec. +53:28:38.1 Magnitude range: 9.60 - 16.30
