Hi all,
First time poster, want the help of some fellow space buffs to settle a bet. I said Neptune is #2 in terms of number of rings. My friend said it was Jupiter. I KNOW he's wrong, but I think I might be too. I tried doing some googling, and here is the ranking I came up with: 1-Uranus (13) 2-Saturn (12) 3-Neptune (7) 4-Jupiter (3) Is that right? For the purposes of this bet, we're not counting gaps between rings. Thanks for the help! |

Saturn's rings have 7 major divisions. How do you count them in this picture?

That's where I got the number 12 at, from the table of names. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rings_of_Jupiter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rings_of_Uranus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rings_of_Neptune |
