Once in awhile, when you cannot connect with Bad Astronomy and you absolutely NEED and WANT something interesting and brilliantly offered to do, go to this site:
http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/cosmolog.htm
Just watch out that you do not get lost in there. It is full of live ammunition to bring back here to discuss. There is a wonderful Cosmology Tutorial (by a master, Dr. Ned Wright, Chairman of the Department at UCLA).
It will answer questions that you would never have thought to ask. There are so many links at the site that you could get lost in there and never find your way out.
When I was unable to sign onto Bad Astronomer the other day, I went directly there.
