Very nice! I did some moon observing last week with a 2.5" refraction telescope. I had my digital camera, so I tried to get some pictures, but it was hard to line up the camera with the eyepiece (no camera mount stuff). I am going to get a link up sometime... I hope.

I am impressed. Those are great photos of the moon. Good luck with Mars.

You need an alignment tool. Something like a 35mm film can with the bottom cut out, fit over the end of the eyepiece and the lens...not too long, so you can keep things close...a piece of TP paper towel tube...the appropriate sized chunk of PVC plastic pipe...sumpin like that...

Just a little something that's a slip fit over each element, to keep you straight between things. Try it. Take pix. Post!!!

I would, but I am in Southern California, and the telescope is in Central California.. 4 hours away. One day I will get my own scope, but te viewing isn't that good at home, so I have to wait till I visit my Mom's house to view.
