Some cosmologists argue that the universe is fractal at very large scales.
I don't know enough about to really say anything, but the article (albeit in one of the more sensationalistic science magazines) seems to be concluding that a good position could be made for the fractality of the universe at large scales. If true, it would be a very important finding.
