Tunguska event happened a hundred years back.
Generally held view is that it is caused by an extraterrestrial object.
Then there is an explanation that it could have been caused by escaping terrestrial gas.
Are there any publications on this controversy?

And you might try looking in Wikipedia; I believe that article contains speculation about various causes, including terrestrial.
