Default Channel 4 broadcast live from Mars

Something interesting for UK readers from Ananova.com:

Quote:
A live broadcast from Mars will be the highlight of Channel 4's Christmas schedule.

Live From Mars will be one of five lectures from Dr Monica Grady of the Natural History Museum and will be devoted to the Beagle 2, Europe's first probe to Mars, due to land on Christmas Day.

Alex James of Blur will provide music for the programme, according to Broadcast today.

Other programmes planned for the Christmas period include three animated Oscar Wilde tales as well as Hallmark's Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story.
Lets hope it doesnt go wrong then

Pictures from Mars followed by "Jack and the Beanstalk"... Am I the only one who hears the "hoax" conspiracy theorists rubbing their hands together already?

Sounds good! I remember when the rover landed I had to make do with slow loading jpgs of the website.

I know it wont happen but wouldn't it be great if beagle found life on christmas day!

Sending my letter to Santa now!
