Default Systems with warm or cool Jupiters may harbor life

In Terrestrial planet formation in low eccentricity warm-Jupiter systems the authors study the feasibility of terrestrial planet formation within the habitable zone around a sun-like star when a gas giant has migrated into or through the zone. They conclude that terrestrial planet formation in the HZ is likely if the giant's migration stops closer than 0.4 AU or further than 1.7 AU from the star. In the latter scenario formation of icy super-earths in the HZ sometimes occurs.
