Some of our newspapers here have been reporting a new image of the famous Helix Nebula, nicknamed "The Eye of God"
To us here this must be old news, as it was Astronomy Picture of the day back in 2004

Of my seven images of the Helix, this one's my favorite. Still, you have to zoom in close to see interesting features. Working with a 16,000 pixel square image, you ca see the cometary knots. They have nothing to do with comets as each head is about the size of our entire solar system. They are globs of gas that the central white dwarf blew out in an ealier stage of life.
