Default Why Does the Moon's Rotation Match its Revolution?

Okay, so it's not so creepy that the sun & moon appear the same size after all...

But wait. How is it that the moon "just happens" to rotate at a rate that exactly matches its revolution around the earth so that we just happen to see only one face of the moon all the time?

Now that, you must all admit, is creepy.

If this isn't proof of a multi-dimensional, infinite & boundless yet finite & confined author or clever NASA conspiracy, as the case may be, I don't know what one is.
