Here's an interesting article I came across today from the Berkeley Lab News Center which talks about a new way of trying to understand the nature of dark energy using Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO).

There seems to be a problem with their server. The article was there a moment ago, but now I'm getting an Error 404 - Not Found message. I would try later. I checked to see if I had the right URL, and it is correct. The problem appears to be on their end. Boy! Talk about lousy timing! Bummer! LOL

Daniel Eisenstein has some useful information and animations about BAO on his webpage. In particular, I find the the two animations in the 5th bullet point there to be helpful in understanding the idea.
