A single photo I managed to take before the clouds came in again. I was hoping to take 10 or so and stack them to improve the signal-to-noise ratio and pick out the tails but unfortunately the weather dictated otherwise. Nikon Coolpix 5700, 60sec, f/3.8, fl=35mm, ISO 200. Camera piggy-backed on motorised equatorial drive. Original image edited with Adobe Photoshop CS.

Cheers from (a wind and rainswept) Bonnie Scotland

Eric

Reckless that is a fine photo. Here in the U.S.A where I live the clouds have been non stop all summer and the same going into this winter. I have had my scope out maybe 6 times this summer and none so far this winter. It does not look good. I can only hope. Anyway take more photos and post them so the rest of us here can see what were missing. great stuff.

Yours in the way Paul F. Campbell
