Hi... I'm new here, and first of all I'd like to say thanks to all you guys for posting you're amazing pictures here. Astrophotography is now something I would love to get into.... Just gotta save some money now for the hardware.
Just a quick question.... Is it possible to take pictures of the ISS or other satelites round the earth?? has anyone tried with good results?? I dont know if this is possible, but would be interested in seeing any attemps. |

Dear Darrius,
A warm welcome to this site. I too am a member. I read yur post and I truely like your imgination about taking photos of ISS and other satellites from outside the ground level. It would truely revolutionise the understanding of a satellite in actual space. Bye, Namit. PS- Please keep sending posts on the site. |

The military has been doing it for a long time. More recently amateur astronomers have been quite successful in imaging the Mir, STS, and ISS.

Wow... so it sure can be done! Those links were cool, thanks very much!!
I really like the idea of being able to capture man made things in space... But I guess my biggest aim is to get some really nice pictures of my Favorite.... Saturn!! Having seen some of you guys efforts has made me all the more determined. I'd also like to photo other galaxy's.... What would be a good setup for me as a beginner.... If I have say £500 to spend? Thanks again guys! |
