Hi,

That's a really great picture. I went out into the field (literally) last night and spent a lot of time observing saturn - I'd love to be able to photgraph it!

Great picture! Did you manage to take several images? You could stack them using the freeware package Registax. The component images don't all have to be super-sharp. You would be amazed at how the resultant combined stacked image could turn out.

thanks for the comments.

Rigel if you're just starting out it's not gonna be easy. It took me more than 1 year to get the image i got last night. Look at my progress from November 2003 to now.

I went throught the images and i have 4 sharp ones like that and i will stack them and post it here.

Wow! That's drastic improvement - well done! Presumable the moon is the easiest object to photograph. Then should I move on to the planets?

oh yes.
start with the moon.
just so you know the moon is EASIER than the planets but not easy :P

and it also depends on what telescope you have and what camera.
