Hi All,

Here is a beautiful Rose for you all on Valentines Day!

The Rosette Nebula Complex - An Active Stellar Nursery in Monoceros.

I took this shot with a Takahashi Sky90, 90mm diameter APO refractor (500mm FL), on a Paramount ME mount and an ST-10XME CCD. For this 2 hours H-alpha RGB shot at Mount Joy, New Mexico remote controlled from Dayton, Ohio.

1 hour in Hydrogen-Alpha light, and 20 minutes each through RGB filters.

Happy Valentines Day to all of you, and don't forget to share the beauty of the Universe with someone close to you!

Enjoy!

Not even a dozen of them? half a dozen? cheapskate.

I guess you make up for it with size! Great stuff, John. Thanks for posting your stuff here. I/we love it.

Who needs a guy or a girl when you've got the beautiful Rosette! Wonderful shot - just breathtaking.
