They are of the occultation of Jupiter as seen from Melbourne Australia on the evening of 27th Feb 05.

Where? you must be using some form of magnification to see that much detail!! :unsure:

Other than that "small" detail jimmy_mc´s photos are impressive!

Thanks for the comments

FYI - I took these pics with my Sony DSC-P9 digital cam physically lined up through some 8x21 binoculars!! I am intending on getting some 'proper' equipment but I thought I'd try to get the most out of what I have lying around.

They are a bit fuzzy as I was finding it difficult to get the speed right to cater for the brightness of the moon but still show up Jupiter (and also through the city lights and haze). I took a bunch of pics so I will go through them in detail and see if there are any better ones and then post them here.
