these images were acquired with a Canon 300D via a Celestron 8 inch newtonian

30 second images

15 for NGC 2903, six for M104 stacked in photoshop

levels adjusted in photoshop

noise removal with Neatimage

unguided

firstly the sombrero (M104)

These are excellent pictures!

Can I ask, Is that exactly how you see these galaxies when viewed through your scope?

M104 looks pretty much like that -only not in colour.

I cannot visually distinguish the spiral arms of NGC 2903 with my 8 inch ..which in this low res posting you might not be able to see either, though these are clear in the original image

Those are some really nice pictures Seeker! I especially like the one of the Sombreo galaxy. Keep 'em coming
