Here's a photo of the prominent southern craters Tycho, Maginus, and Clavius that I took with the ASH 17" f/15 classical Cassegrain and a Pentax K1000 SLR camera using eyepiece projection. Maginus lies between and to the left of Tycho (at the center of the photograph) and Clavius.

Excellent!

I posted a picture of the same area a couple of weeks ago. The south polar region has a lot of great features. Well I guess the entire moon has a lot of great features, but the south polar region, namely Tycho and Clavius, is a favourite of mine.

OK,OK!Here's my image of the lunar south polar region taken Apr.17,2005. I used a Meade LPI imager and a 5" Mak-Cass scope.
