Here's a tripod-mounted shot of an Iridium satellite flare that occurred on 2005/05/08 using my Canon EOS Digital Rebel with the stock lens.

Very good pic.

I've got a shot of an Iridium flare in my camera right now. Hopefully it turns out as good as your shot.

Here's a zoomed-in shot of a more brilliant flare (Iridium 95) that I took at the ASH Naylor Observatory on April 19th. It was mostly cloudy at the time.

A film photo of an Iridium flare from the same site that I took with a Pentax K1000 SLR camera and a 50mm Pentax lens is posted at http://dvaa.org/php/mpix.php?p=Dave_Mitsky...y&i=Flare042000
