Default Thursday Afternoon's Solar Prominence, 2005/09/22

Here's a photo that I took afocally with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300D, 35m Celestron Ultima, and 40m f/10 Coronado PST on Thursday afternoon around 1630 UT.

That would have been the perfect sun photo (for me) to use for an avatar, but alas I'll have to settle for an 'ol JPL/NASA photo... That's nice and crisp with just that touch of the prominence off to the right side...and it's red and black, which in my world is a good thing. (there seems to be no basic smile, so that's what I consider a goofy-happy smile).
