Hi all,
A few images taken during a recent trip back home "down under". All images taken with a 300mm f/6 newtonian + SBIG ST-9XE. 1) One of my favourite deep-sky objects, NGC 253. It was comfortably visible to the naked eye under 7.8+ skies. 10 x 3 minute images. 2) NGC 247 10 x 3 minute images. 3) NGC 300 10 x 3 minute images. 4) NGC 2070 The Tarantula Nebula. One of the showpieces of the sky. 20 x 2 minute images. 5) NGC 4945 Not very well known to northern observers, this is a fine galaxy for small telescopes. 10 x 3 minute images. 6) NGC 6872 A cluster of galaxies in Pavo including some interacting galaxies. The HST returned a spectacular image of some of these galaxies. 10 x 3 minute images. Enjoy,
