Very nice view of Jupiter from South Australia. I like your labeling, too. Welcome!

I never cease to be amazed at what can be done with contemporary amateur optical/electronic equipment (combined with a first-rate observer, of course). For those of you too young to remember, go to any ca. 1950's astronomy book and find a 'good' shot of Jupiter for comparison.

Excellent stuff, Paul. Excellent stuff.

clear,closer,clever photography by you, paul.
if we look at this image with a concentration on that "jupiter image only", so it like something going at the backward direction, you experience yourself this miracle, because i am experiencing here.
(look only the image its round and in the central part, you will see that the image is going in backward direction).
"very nice image"

That's an excellent shot!

Just wondering. What are those ring like color variations near the periphery of Jupiter's disc? Newton's rings or something due to the bit depth of the picture file?
