According to my software, the comet P/73 Schwassmann-Wachmann will be pretty close to the Ring Nebula in Lyra tomorrow (Sunday) night. I'm not sure how accurate the software is, but if you have a wide field view this should make a nice photo. If it's clear tomorrow night I'll take a look, but unfortunately I can't take pictures.

A few more shots. I had to use 4-minute exposures to cut through clouds (naked-eye limiting magnitude was about 1.5 for most of this time - I could see Spica but none of the Big Dipper), and the first image showing the nebula and comet was taken 15 degrees off the horizon. I hadn't actually worked out earlier that our dome cuts off the view below about 14 degrees... Anyway, as Galactic2000 pointed out in posting a very nice shot, the relative motion of the comet meant that somebody was going to be blurred. Here's one picture tracking on each.
Gotta work on those sky flats a bit more... |

So, it is near the Ring Nebula?
That makes it more spectacular!
