Default Gallactic Center

Did this with a canon 300d, guided with 70 x 600 ar and illuminated reticle. Exposure about 1000 seconds for each of 2 exposures (one in 1600 iso and one 800) and played with the processing knobs a bit combining them both to get the image. Got heaps even a 600 second at 200 iso.

That is beautiful!
Can you please explain to a newbie what a 70x600 ar means?
Thanks!
