Hi George, that's a cool image! The moon often looks that way to me with a glowing halo (it's halo in English, hallo looks like hello in German).

I love the variety of your pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

(BTW, my little sister just came back from Greece. A bit more expensive since she was there before the Euro.)

Thank you Melusine, and you have absolutely right for the Halo vs Hallo, sorry for this.


I hope Pass well your sister in Greece. The weather at this summer is not very good but the temperature is very hot.

My parents used to always say that a ring aorund the moon meant is was going to rain the next day. I've always attributed it to slight or whispy cloud cover that sometimes preceded a front. Any chance it rained?
