Default Optical zoom for Moon images

Hi Group,

I use the afocal technique for imaging the moon and planets. (http://home.telkomsa.net/mybirding/Afocal.htm)
My scope is a homemade 9" Dobsonian with no motor drive and my camera a basic Fujifilm Finepix 2600Zoom.
I find the optical zoom facility extremely handy as there is no need to switch eyepieces to obtain higher magnification.
Here is an example

Hi Bokmakierie. Like ToSeek I find your work to be very impressive. I take alot of Moon photos using my sony cybershot 7.2 mounted to my etx 125 and now my new 6.75 starfinder dobs, but I have only used it using a 40mm lens. I guess I need to play alittle more with different lens. again great work. Send more when you can. Paul.

Thanks Guys for your positive comments. I just tried the optical zoom to see what comes out, and it worked! Paul, your images are awesome. I find it particularly challenging to attempt to recognize the different features on the moon and to put a name to them.

Bok

Here is another of my efforts. I imaged the crater Plato region with a 3x optical zoom on my camera and stacked 4 images using Registax.
