Default Stephan's Quintett

Hi folks,

this is an image of the famous galaxy cluster called "Stephan's Quintett". (NGC 7320 et al.) Taken through an 10.25" cassegrain at f=3.050 mm with an SXV-H9. LRGB was 220:20:20:25 min

Heavy winds limited the FWHM to 2.5-3.0 arcsecs and it was therefore quite difficult to cope with those results.

Hope you like it.

Regards,
Stefan

Stefan, that is a very detailed shot, even for those conditions, could you imagine what the night sky would be like from one of those galaxies !

Keith..

Hi Stephan,

a very fine image on a difficult target.

Taking a look at your website I have seen that you are using a vmc 260. How do you feel with this OTA, could you give us some differences (positive and eventually negative) between this OTA and the C11 (your last OTA, if I'm not going wrong).

Thanks

My best

Filippo.
