I took some more data a couple of weeks agod and created a new version
of my image of NGC 891, a spiral galaxy in Andromeda. The underlying images (or data if you will) was taken on December 18, 2004 and November 17 2006. What I have in the image is 5 hours 5 minutes of actual exposure, and 7 hours 20 minutes effective exposure. This "effective exposure" is because one hour and 15 minutes of color data is included in the luminance, or non-color part of the image. I figured that since my older color data was binned that I would re-use the newer, unbinned color data in the luminance. The newer data was imaged through a Hutech LPR filter. The combined Luminance is 260 minutes of exposure, the RGB 60 minutes each, processed with Maxim DL, CCDStack, and Photoshop, using GradientXterminator. Luminance combined from clear, luminance, and RGB filters unbinned. Here is a link the the image. http://obsballona.net/coppermine/dis...ge.php?pos=-43 Thanks for looking. All comments welcomed. --Andy

I've been reading Scott Ireland's Photoshop Astronomy, and I could not resist making some changes. Here is a new version, sharper, and I think the color is a little better.
--Andy The link is still http://obsballona.net/coppermine/dis...ge.php?pos=-43
