Smile M82 with 9" Scope

hi folks,

I have just sigend up to this forum (see off topic) and I`d like to introduce one of my recent results to You.
I`m Austrian and we have to live with an average seeing here of about 5/10 (according to Mr. Pickering)
that night seeing was rather better than average around 6-(7)/10
transparency was quite good.

usually I use my 9" TMB Apo f/9 in cases of good seeing and so I wnt for M82 the first time.

data on the image:
image taken at my stargazer private observatory, Mühlviertel near Linz, Austria, Europe
9" f/9 @ f/7 using a TeleVue 0,8 reducer
SXV M25C
2,3 hours (4,6,8,10,12 and 20 minutes frames)
no filters
date: Jan.2007
AstroArt4 for image acquisition, alignement (average), color conversion.
postprocessing in PS CS2 (multi layer) and PixIS (mask for backgroundsmoothing)

medium sized image (crop) here:
http://stargazer.christelhager.info/...-16.1.1500.jpg

enlarged crop here:

comments will be appreciated.

This is from your site, the rest of the M82 picture

I never knew M81 had a satelite galaxy! It so close to the pole I never try (succesfully) to observe/shoot. Great images
