Default crater

hi
just found an avi i had laying around, proccessed it and came up with this pic but not sure what crater it is.. have to look it up

Hi Ozz.

Your photo of the Moon is made up of Craters Aristoteles - Mitchell and Egede. The mare region in Mare Frigoris.

Good for you Paul! I first thought it look like Copernicus but the little adjacent crater ( Mitchell) confused me. I used the Lunar Atlas to find it but did not search far to the North. By the way, this interactive atlas is the best I have come across and it has helped me considerably in the past.

Hi Phil.

I went through the same process as you thinking it might be Copernicus but then I found it. Thanks for the site tip, I do use this atlas its a great tool. I could not name my photos with out it. Happy Brithday to you.

hey guys i just looked it up on virtual moon atlas and yep its ARISTOTELES , i need a new focuser so i can get a better focus. i have to run back and forth from the gallery to the pc not fun , so thats why i don t do as much pics anymore, getting a laptop next week that should help alot and probley will get a better focuser too, maybe a moonlite . soon i should get major improvment ..
