Default Clavius

Clavius captured on 27 January 2007 from Conon Bridge, Scotland, afocally using a Coolpix 5700 attached to a 15mm eyepiece and f/6.3 reducer through the 8" SCT (0.25sec f/4.2 ISO200). Individual frames were stacked using Registax and further processed with Photoshop CS and NeatImage.

Cheers

Eric

Default Clavius by Eric

Hi Eric

How is the weather this time of year in the highlands of Scotland. Your image of Clavius is very nice. but for some reason it was very small on my screen, so I played with it alittle. I enlarged and rotated the image. I also removed some outer backround noise and sharpened it up alittle. I hope you like it.

Thanks Paul. I have used your techniques to further process the .psd file and have uploaded the result to my website.

I'm not so hung up about the rotation of the image as it is the inverted image I see when I look through the eyepiece of the SCT.

Weather in the Scottish Highlands is a bit variable at the moment. Last week we had -3°C frosty and clear for a couple of days and now we are +9°C and raining.

Just have to take it as it comes !

Cheers for now.

Eric
