Default Plato to Clavius

Last night (January 27th 2007) the seeing was good.
Using my 114mm f/8.8 Towa catadiotropic reflector, I obtained these three images of the moon from crater Plato in the North to crater Clavius in the South.
I have adapted the focusser on my scope (0.96") to receive a 25 mm Plossl ( 1.25") eyepiece. Using a Fujifilm Finepix 2600 digital camera afocally, I could get the entire moon in the FOV. To enlarge the Clavius and Plato areas I simply zoomed my camera to 3x optical zoom.
Images were processed in Microsoft Picture-It and high frequency noise removed with Noiseware.

Phil

Default your photos

Hi Phil

Your photos are nice. No seeing here for about a week now. My scope came back yesterday from Dr. Clay Sherrod. This is the scopes 2nd SuperCharge in five years. Its better then brand new.

I took your photos and played with them.
I got rid of the grayish outer glow and I sharpened them alittle. hope you like.

Later Paul
