Hi all
The seeing was not all that good last night but I took a few avi's anyway. At low power the seeing was not bad, but the higher you went the worse it got. These two photos are the best I could do. both are 4min avi's at 1/10 of a sec 10 fps. Taken with my 125 etx and a sac 7 ccd. |

Paul,
I took the liberty of tweaking one of your images of Saturn. I brightened the image with curves. I then adjusted the color balance using levels, adjusting the green and blue white levels to the top of the data and leaving the red alone. I copied the whole thing into a new layer, did a 2 pixel high pass filter on it and set it to blending mode of luminosity with an opacity of 75%. When I opened the file in Photoshop, I noted that the histogram looked clipped on the dark end -- it was all crowded on the left with no gap. You might be losing some dim data down there. --Andy
