Default venus excellent seeing 5.5.2007

Really steady air tonight, showed glimpses of sharp structure, my best to date
this is a somewhat forgoten world as far as imaging goes, But with these filters, even small scopes 7" plus, can reveal fine structure in the clouds, i hope this inspires others to get involved, it seems to get forgoten in favour of jupiter and saturn, but with the excellent shuler filter, venus bites back.
This is what i was hoping for, but i didnt think it would come so early, ( its my 5th capture ) i think when i get my 3x barlow delivered, with my 10" newt, wonderful things might be coming Im very happy

I Have been trying a number of experiments on virtual dub, messing with the avi before it gets stacked namely contrast and brightness noise reduction, and resizing, i havent quite got it just right yet, but i think i will, this is a 150% avi, x2 stacked on k3 then downsized 80% i think its a promising way of increasing the small size of venus, but the footage has to be reasonably good,

more work on perfecting the resize

Of course they are wonderful. Maksutov's generate beautiful images!

Good work, meademan!

How ironic that something so beautiful from afar could be so deadly when near.

I guess Zsa Zsa Gabor was immune to certain combinations of sulfur, oxygen, and hydrogen.
