Default Lomonosov Crater

Hi Everybody,

I am new hear and this is my first post, I was looking through the images on ESA's Smart-1 site and I came across an image of Lomonosov Crater that has an anomaly in an my apologies if this has already been discussed but I wonder if anyone here could explain it.

Original link here:

It is only a low-res image and unfortunately the ESA have refused me a hi-res one.

Regards

A very interesting photo but unfortunately is on the other side of the moon. That anomaly marked on the photo to me is simply the casting of the shadows from it's collapsing walls which makes it look like an "X" to me. Wellcome Sherpa to the forum. Clear Skies

Sherpa. Welcome to the forum. Mountain climbing, shadowy details, and quoting Lomonosov are three of my favorites... pete
