Default ngc 7331+deerlick + stephans 5

hi guys,

this is the result of 2 nights.
on monday 13th, the first night of both, I have encountered conditions that were so great!
seeing was superb! and transparency at its very best!
guys, we saw M33 with bare eyes! stars up to 6m7 !!!
yesterday the night was also very good, but by far not so hot as monday night.
so it was about time to go for a new target. I have imaged 7331 once with my late h9c - but this time I wanted to catch 2 flies with one strike:
stephans 5 and the deerlickgroup should be framed.
data:
date: 13th + 14th of august 07
scope: 9" TMB Apo f/6.8 (160 3" astrophysics reducer)
CCD: SXV M25C
7.8 hours exposure time (9+12 min subs)
AstroARt4, Maxim DL, CCD sharp, Registax reprocessing
Photoshop and Pix Insight LE postprocessing

all other images can be seen here:
http://www.stargazer-observatory.com/7331.html

thanks for looking and comments, guys!
Dietmar

Diets you have a Winer! Lots of details and so crisp. I stoped counting the the Galaxies in this region you captured there. Simply Outstanding. Looking forward to see more. Clear Skies

In one of Timothy Ferris's books there is an interview with an amateur astonomer and he stated that he'd seen galaxies that no other human has ever seen or have ever been photographed. Maybe you're in the same class.

...thanx Kyle, Tim, Tom, Andy, Matt, John and Phil.
I appreciate your kind words!

Tim, I was lucky to have my mate around who witnesses the M33 naked eye issue...(-;

John, even though processing was a "long term event",...so many steps to take and always checking not picking up any artefacts,...I did enjoy developing the image - it is like giving birth to an image...(-:

Beautiful composition. Great resolution and depth as well.

I tried last fall but no rotation of the camera would fit both groups in one FOV. I was always a few minute short of what was needed. My mosaic skills aren't there as yet.
