Default Images of 17P/Holmes

I finally processed some of the shots that I've taken of Comet 17P/Holmes with my Canon Digital Rebel DSLR during the past week.

The first one is a tripod-mounted photo that I took at the ASH Naylor Observatory on the night of Monday, October 29, using an 80-20mm Canon zoom lens. The comet is the nonstellar object at the bottom left.

The second picture is a cropped shot of the coma captured through the ASH 5" f/5 acrhromat via eyepiece projection (32mm Brandon) on Thursday, November 1.

The third is a prime focus image that I took on Saturday night, November 3, through an 80mm long-focus achromat that serves as the finder scope for a friend's 20" f/10 classical Cassegrain.

The final image is a cropped image taken through the 20" classical Cassegrain at prime focus showing the inner coma and the pseudonucleus.

Hi Dave.
Nice job, it has been cloudy here for a few days. I saw the comet saturday night at the observatory for about 10.min. Take care and clear skies.
