Everyone knows about the Horsehead, but the image also incudes the Orion Belt stars Mintaka, Alnilam, and Alnitak. This last is very close to yet another object, the Flame Nebula, which sometimes runs by the name Maple Leaf Nebula.

The Running Man might also be in the upper right; I would have to look that one up again.

Hi!

Did you use Large Field Corrector when you take this image with your NP101?

Please look at my images (comet-71p) which took with Canon 300D and NP101. Pls pay attention to the bright star. You can see tails pointing toward center of the image. According to Televue, we need to use the Large Field Corrector.

NP101 contain 4 elements. This problem should not happen.

My friend use his Canon 10D to photo the M42 with his 80mm APO refractor, but I can not see any star tail from his image. Why?

Aw Yong.
