Default Horsehead Nebula

This is my first attempt at a dark nebula so thank goodness there is so much Ha in it. It was a windy night so only a few images were usable. As a result I have probably over prosessed the noise reduction. Any way I will keep at it.

Kind regards
Matt

Hi Matt,

I like your choice of objects. This is a great start! With a little more data, I think you will see more nuances emerge, and as you mentioned, probably need less correction for noise. Keep up the good work!

Agreed, this is a bare minimum of data and I hope to gather more while it is still near the meridian for us. It will also climb higher here as our summer wanes. Thanks for your kind words.

Kind regards
Matt

Nice photo! I love the Horsehead Nebula; it has an especially mysterious allure to it. It's not the prettiest nebula out there, but I have to say it is my favorite for some reason I can't quite define.
